Bantwal, Apr 12: BJP's candidate, sitting MLA Rajesh Naik, announced that he would walk from Polali to the Bantwala election office on B C Road to submit his nomination papers on April 15.
During a press conference at the BJP office here, Naik said, "This is my third time contesting on behalf of the party. I lost in 2015, won in 2018, and am now running again thanks to the blessings and cooperation of party activists."
Constituency President Devappa Pujari expressed confidence that the party would win the election based on the unprecedented development in the Bantwal constituency. Naik and his team plan to leave Polali at 8 am and submit their nomination papers by 12:15 pm. The party workers have shown great support for Naik in their meetings.
The press conference was attended by Constituency Officer Ravi Shankar Mizar, Buda President Devadasa Shetty, and Q. Secretary Dombaya Arala.
