Mangaluru, April 17: MLA U T Khader is officially the owner of Rs 3,500 crore and is unofficially the owner of Rs 10,000 crore, alleged Ullal SDPI candidate Riaz Farangipete.
He was addressing a public meeting at the Thokkottu maidan en route to filing of his nomination papers as a SDPI candidate.
Riaz Farangipete said, “The MLA of Ullal with a simple personality, drinks tea in a steel cup and collects money from everybody when elections approach. But the party workers in his company should question on to whom does Rs 3,500 crore and Rs 10,000 crore which is lying in the name of U T Abdul Khader Alif Ali in NBD Emirates Bank, Bur Dubai, UAE belong to. Money is collected in that name from 2013 to 2019. The amount was transferred back to the account in 2019 due to fear of raids by ED and I-T. The days of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act reaching the table of the MLA is not far.”
“They have pressured the Unity hall owner not to let the SDPI to organise the programme. The audience had to sit under the scorching sun because of that. There will be a curse on those who made the owner deny the hall,” he said.

The MLA had sent back the project of sports ground and swimming pool on 12 acres of land at Mastikatte just because the land owner refused to pay commission. The residential and commercial building demolishing 390 houses at Ombatukere is not constructed,” he said.
SDPI district president Athaulla Jokatte said that the current elections are between truth and falsehood.
