Mangaluru, May 6: "Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy will address a massive convention of the JD(S) on Sunday, May 7 at Paradise ground, Krishnapura," said Mohiuddin Bava, JD(S) candidate from Mangaluru North constituency.

He was addressing a press meet here on Saturday, May 6.

“JD(S) leader CM Ibrahim will also join the JD(S) convention. The Congress is in complete fear of losing the constituency. After Bengaluru, Mangaluru is the prominent place but both Congress and BJP failed to create employment opportunities for youth though there are several industries and companies in the city,” Bava said.

He also said that he is committed to providing employment opportunities to the youth.

Slamming MLA Bharath Shetty, Bava said that the present MLA has failed to provide housing facilities for the needy in his tenure. He is just fooling people, he said.

JD(S) leader B M Farooq said that the people in North constituency are hoping Bava to become the MLA. “There is a good response in the constituency in favour of Bava. Both BJP and Congress have failed to meet the demands of the poor,” he said.

JD(S) leaders M B Sadashiv, Mohammed Kunhi, Vasanth Poojary, Akshith Suvarna and others were present.
