Karnataka elections: People rejected BJP & PM Modi, say Congress leaders

New Delhi, May 13 (IANS): Following the latest trend showing Congress leading in Karnataka assembly elections, the grand-old party leaders have claimed that they are coming in the state with full majority.

Talking to IANS, Congress leader Pawan Khera said that people have rejected the "negative" campaign of BJP, especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"We are coming with a full majority in the state," claimed Khera.

Alka Lamba, Congress spokesperson, told IANS, "We learnt from our mistakes... Results of Himachal a few months back, and the latest trends of counting for the Karnataka Assembly polls show that as issues of people were not getting resolved, they are voting for the grand-old party.

no need to go overboard and get blindsided - Congress and sane political parties have to really strategise and execute their plans well in time to reduce the BJP a regional party from UP & Gujarat.

Instead of trying his best he should have initiated stern action against those responsible for 40% and justice should have been provided to the contractor who unfortunately committed suicide.

Feku need to understand this is not Gujarat or UP, where people can be fooled easily by election jumlas and will vote blindly without thinking about the core issues like jobs, education, infrastructure and better governance etc. This is the difference in educated South and uneducated North.

Your logic of educated south vs North does not hold good for Mangalore and Udupi region constituency. Being highly educated regions still have voted for BJP. What could be the reason?

including BJP leader are aware about defeat in election, and was trying to reduce margin only, before arrive of PM Modije, BJP was in 3rd position after JDS, After seat announcement BJP mainly focused to defeat Shetter and seems BJP succeeded (31000 Lead to Tenginakai) , EXit of shetter from party may cost few seat to BJP, but his defeat is confirmed. Back to costal, again educated people elected BJP despite change in candidate (yes Puttila was and in and will be) BJP winning 12 out of 13 seat. am sure many big heads in party will loose position including Nalin. now its time to see dombarata for CM seat.......... we will not blame EVM, but we blame BJP state leader for loose
