Bantwal: Young man on motorcycle molests lady pedestrian

Bantwal, May 14: A young man on a motorcycle attempted to sexually assault a young woman who was walking along the road here.

The incident took place on May 13 in Bana, Kasba village, Vittal. The Vittal police have registered a case regarding this incident.

The girl, who resides in Kadambu, Vittal Kasba village, was walking from her residence to Taravadu house alongside the road. When she reached Bana, a young man approached her on a motorcycle, coming from the direction of Anilakatte, and asked for directions to Vittal. However, he proceeded to touch the girl inappropriately, behaved indecently, and attempted to sexually assault her. The girl promptly filed a complaint at the Vittal police station. The police have registered a case and initiated investigations.

Puttur's defeated BJP candidate alleges accused is from different community

Defeated BJP candidate of Puttur legislative assembly constituency Asha Timmappa Gowda urged Vittal police to arrest youth of different community, in connection with indecent behaviour with a Hindu girl who was walking at Bana of Vittal Kasaba village.

Asha visited the house of the Hindu girl’s family and instilled confidence in them. She also assured them of some help as the family is financially poor. Asha also urged locals to instill confidence in the family.

Later Asha went to the police station and held discussion and urged them to arrest the accused immediately.

    Wow, great our BJP lady leader Ms. Asha Thimappa Gowda is. She should be appointed in the national committee for intelligence . She has the evidence to say that the boy is from a minority community even before a complaint is lodged and investigation by the police and law agencies. Is this not a case of sour grapes, having lost the elections, where people have voted her and her party politics outside the door, she still indulges in the dirty politics of hatred. She knows nothing else even though she lost on this political strategy. Can she tell how she knows the community even before investigation, unless she has sent him to creat a communal flareup, not being able to digest the loss in elections.
