Udupi: Bus passengers injured in collision with concrete mixer truck

Udupi, May 14: In the early morning hours of Saturday, a private bus collided with a concrete mixer truck near Kunjibettu in the city, resulting in injuries to several bus passengers.

The incident occurred when a concrete mixer truck, coming from the Kalsanka direction, attempted a U-turn at Kunjibettu and was struck by a Volvo private bus traveling from Manipal to Udupi.

As a result of the collision, concrete spilled onto the road, but it was later cleared and placed to one side. Both vehicles sustained damage, and the injured bus passengers were safely evacuated through the emergency exit of the bus.
