Mangaluru, May 16: A case is filed in CEN police station of the city in which a man has accused a stranger of fleecing him to the tune of Rs 3.36 lac on pretext of more commission on investments done online.
The victim received a message on Telegram on February 14 from a stranger offering him investment opportunity with hefty commission.
The victim believed the stranger and invested Rs 1.88 lac, Rs 75000 and Rs one lac in phases from February 14 to 16.
However, later the stranger neither gave commission nor returned the invested amount.
