Canacona: School Building, Fence Collapses Due to Incessant Rains

Canacona, Jul 14: Due to torrential rains a Portuguese era school cum residential building at Char-Rasta, here collapsed on Wednesday July 13.

However, no casualties have been reported.

The building was in a dilapidated condition therefore it was vacated by the residents and later turned in to a primary school.

In yet another incident, a part of an old fencing wall of a higher secondary school playground at Sheller also collapsed.

School teachers have requested authorities to look into the matter as soon as possible as the the mud flowing onto the road from the wrecked wall would eventually block traffic.
 
The playground with a fence was developed just a couple of years ago.
