Bangalore: ‘Marathon’ Tablet to Hit Indian Tech-Market

Bangalore, Jul 14: The Indian tech-market blooming with tablet PCs had seen many arrivals like Apple’s iPad 2 and HCL technology’s Me Tablet earlier this year. Now that local manufacturers also trying to enter the market it will give the gadget lovers an option to choose.

Following the trend a Bangalore-based company EAFT Technologies launched its new tablet called Marathon which boasts of its unique and first time in market feature, 3D user interface.

The Marathon promises of giving a great web and multimedia experience with an eight hour long battery life. The 10.1 inch tablet runs on Android 2.2 operating system, which is also known as Fro Yo. It also comes with 3G ,WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Marathon is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, supports Flash 10.1, supports 1080p HD video playback, USB ports and a HDMI port.

An in-built 1.0 Gigahertz processor and 512MB of RAM of Mrathon make it an equal contender for other tablets in the market.

Presently being sold at an introductory offer price of Rs 26,990 but the regular price in India is Rs 29,990, which is comparable to the price of the 16B Wi-Fi - iPad2.

With much promises in hand Marathon will surely excite, but is yet to be tested by the tech savvy consumers.
