Kasargod, May 25: In a tragic incident, a young woman allegedly ended her life by hanging herself at her residence in Adoor.
The deceased, identified as Divya (26), was the daughter of Mudda Naik, a resident of Chamakochi Annappadi in Adoor.
On Wednesday, Divya's lifeless body was discovered hanging in a room of her home. She was a lab technician employed at a private hospital in Bandadka. She had returned home in the morning after completing her night shift on Tuesday. Tragically, she took her own life while her mother and other household members were away. The incident came to light when local residents arrived at the scene in the evening. Despite being rushed to the hospital, her life could not be saved.
Authorities found a suicide note in her room. The Adoor police station has initiated an investigation into a young man suspected of being involved in the case, based on leads obtained by the police. It is alleged that the man had been persistently harassing the young woman via mobile phone.
