Mangaluru, Jun 4: Comedian, Kantara star Prakash Thuminad has won the award under the best-comedian category for the movie ‘Kantara’ in the Chittara Star Awards 2023.
‘Kantara’ is produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under the banner Hombale Films.
The film features Prakash Thuminad, Rishab Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, Kishore Kumar G, Pramod Shetty, Achyuth Kumar and others.
Kantara depicts the culture of Tulunadu such as Daivaradhane, and gives glimpses of Kambala. The blockbuster movie has increased the pride of Kannadigas across the globe.
Kanatra has grossed over Rs 400 crore worldwide.
