Mangaluru, Jun 5: Hindu leader Arun Puthila said that it is necessary to call the parents of three girls who were involved in the moral policing case and know the actual matter from them. It is not right to harass Hindu workers on the issue and calling them often to the police station, he said.

Arun Puthila spoke to the station officer of Ullal police station with regards to the arrest of Hindu workers in the moral policing case.

He said, “I have visited the police station to know the progress of the investigation on the Someshwara moral policing case. I have urged the police officers to hold transparent investigation of the case.

“Parents of the three girls who went with the boys should be called and reality should be inquired. Police patrolling and CCTV should be installed at the sight of the incident.

“The police department has ensured about patrolling the area. In the incident one girl knows a boy. He has brought two other boys from Kerala. This is a part of Jihadi act of getting Hindu girls converted to Islam.

“I have asked the police to return the mobile phones of Hindu workers who were involved in the incident. In future, incidents of this nature should not occur. All should behave with social responsibility and inform the police when such incidents happen,” he said.
