Udupi: MLA Yashpal Suvarna visits Malpe-Padukere coastal region ahead of monsoon

Udupi, June 7: MLA Yashpal visited Padukere along with other officials on Wednesday, June 7, visited coastal areas mostly that are frequently affected by floods in the region.

He informed the officials of port and fisheries department to take appropriate measures to protect coastal area from breaching during floods and also to shift the Anganwadi centres to the newly constructed building in Kuthpady-
Padukere.

The newly elected MLA also visited Malpe-Padukere river and ordered the officials of minor irrigation department to complete the works on protection of river bank as soon as possible. Families numbering 21 of them placed their request for house residential certificate before him.

He verified the place and appealed to the department of sports and youth empowerment for construction of a new stadium.

He also urged the department of tourism to take up development work in Padukere beach.

Arun Bhandary, assistant executive engineer of minor irrigation department, Roshan, assistant director of department of youth service and empowerment, Jayaraj, assistant developer of port and fisheries department, Siddesh, PDO of Kadekar grama panchayath, Vasanthi, PDO of Ambalpady grama panchayath, Rohini, president of Ambalpady grama panchayath, Rajendra PAndubettu, former member of taluk panchayath, Vijay Kundar, member of City municipality, panchayath member Vasanth Praveen, Vedhavathi, Pramod, Subhashini, localit, Shankar, Bhuvan, Nagesh Bangera, Ganesh Bangera, Purandar Kotian, Hemanth Karvi, Vasumathish and others were present.
