Two teachers die, two seriously injured after car collides with bus in Hebri

Hebri, Jun 11: Two teachers from Udupi were killed in a car accident and another teacher who was in the car was seriously injured after the vehicle in which they were travelling collided with a bus.
 
The incident happened near Sitanadi Jakkanamakki here in Hebri talluk  at around 1.30 am on Sunday, June 11.
 
The teacher, who was in a critical condition, has been admitted to Manipal Hospital.
 
 
The  accident took place between a Agumbe bound bus from Udupi and the car of a teacher that was Udupi bound after attending a wedding in Channagiri.
 
The deceased have been identified as Subbanna Ganiga, working as a first class assistant at the Udupi DDPI office, and Soma Shekhar, a physical education teacher at Indira Nagar School, Udupi.
 
Sudarshan, a teacher has been seriously injured, and Satish, who was driving the car, were admitted to Manipal Hospital.
 
Due to the severity of the accident, they had to struggle to take out the car that had got stuck inside the front portion of the bus. Noticing that no ambulance was available, Pramod, who was passing by this route, put all the four people in his car and took them to Hebri Government Hospital.
 
Two of them died without receiving emergency treatment.
