Daijiworld Media Network – Kundapur (MS)

Kundapur, Jun 11: A peacock flew across Matsyagandha Express train at Moodlakatte railway station of the taluk on Saturday in the afternoon as a result of which the train was delayed by one-and-a-half hours.

The peacock hit the train at Nandikoor along the Mangaluru-Udupi stretch of the route. Glass of the engine was broken causing difficulty in driving during the night time. For the same reason it was decided to change the engine. The Matsyagandha Express waited for the Mumbai-Ernakulam train to arrive for  change of engine.

The passengers of the Matsyagandha Express train panicked as the train had remained stationary for a long time at Moodlakatte railway station. However, they were relieved after knowing about the real incident.
