Bengaluru, Jun 17: Industries and Commerce Minister M B Patil has taken potshots at BJP national organizing secretary B L Santhosh and has accused him of finishing off prominent Lingayat community leaders in BJP.

Patil, a prominent Lingayat community leader belonging to Congress party from north Karnataka, has in a twitter message sarcastically said: “Congress party is immensely grateful to you (Santhosh) for the contribution rendered in the victory of assembly polls. You have politically finished off several BJP leaders and now determined to finish the two remaining leaders Basavaraj Bommai and Basavaraj Patil Yatnal.’’

He has pointed out that Santhosh has Bommai and Yatnal in his hit list and questioned the failure of BJP to name its Opposition leader in the assembly.

The Congress leader has accused Santhosh of trying to destroy Bommai and Yatnal by making use of his close confidants Tejasavi Surya and Pratap Simha and mentioned that the people are watching the development.

“Who are your next targets- Vokkaligas or Dalits,’’ Patil asked Santhosh pointing out that B S Yediyurappa was forced to step down and Jagadish Shettar and Laxman Savadi were forced to quit.
