New Delhi, Jul 21: Infosys founder Narayan Murthy is also of the opinion that bribing should be legalized in the country.
In a recent interview, Murthy said that he backs the suggestion made by advisor to finance ministry Kaushik Basu to legalize bribing in the country. The Infosys founder believes that at least then there would be chances of the bribe-giver to turn approver.
He said that at present the concept of bribe-giving (and taking) is illegal in India. But in case bribe taking alone is made illegal then there are chances that the bribe-giver might turn into approver.
Agreeing to Basu's suggestion, Murthy said "It's a great idea and I agree with Basu. The only problem is that the bribe-giver may face rejection from the bribe-taker who might refuse to do business with him again."
