Guadalajara (Mexico), Jul 24 (IANS/EFE): Four female personnel working at the Attorney General's Office of the western Mexican state of Jalisco have been dismissed for organising a party with male strippers in their office.
The incident came to light when a video of the occasion made the rounds of social networking sites last July 14.
The employees dismissed for the improper use of state facilities were prosecutor Ana Bertha Castaneda Hernandez, secretary Ana Alejandra Alvarez Diaz, detective Patricia Cruz Garcia and court clerk Sahagun Ortega, the AG's office said in a statement.
The women appear in the video partying with half-naked male strippers at the bachelorette celebration of a friend in the offices of the sex-crimes unit.
The party apparently took place during working hours at the facilities of the unit of the AG's office that handles cases of abuse, exploitation and mistreatment of minors.
The state AG's office said the video was taken in July 2008 but was released over social networking sites just a week ago.
The investigation was sparked by the complaint of three officials in the same unit who provided the video recording.
The accused identified another five people involved in the party, including three men who no longer work in the unit.
