Police Release Six Suspects in Oslo Bombing

Oslo, Jul 25 (IANS/RIA Novosti): Six suspects who were detained in the Oslo bombing case Sunday were released because of lack of evidence of their involvement in Friday's attack, Norwegian media reported.

A massive explosion ripped through the government headquarters in Oslo Friday. Several hours later, a man dressed as a police officer opened fire at youth who had gathered at a summer camp on Utoya island, killing at least 85.

Earlier Sunday, Norwegian paper the Dagbladet said police had detained a group of six people during a raid in Oslo's eastern district.

Ethnic Norwegian Anders Behring Breivik, 32, confessed Saturday to the mass killing on Utoya island. He said he organised the shooting alone, without any accomplices.
