Kasargod: Man, two girls missing since three years found by police

Kasargod, Jul 1: District crime branch detected one youth and two young girls who mysteriously went missing three years ago.

Bilal, a resident of Peruvad Kadappura, who was missing since July 15, 2020, was found at Hosur in Tamil Nadu.

Kunjanbi (30), who went missing from Gerukatte of Manjeshwar from October 2022 was found at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. Similarly, Lakshmi (23), a resident of Chittari who was missing since May 2023 was found at Agra in Uttar Pradesh.

A special team of district crime branch led by DySP was formed on April 18, 2022 by SP Vaibhav Saxena as per the directives of state home department.

In the special operation conducted by the team, around 10 people, including women and children, that went missing since 2022 from the limits of various police stations are found.

    Kidnapped for 3 years - doesn't seem likely - might have disappeared for good reason and didn't want to be found, Police inquiy should not end by brining them back; they should inquire what kind of life they are leading in their "hideouts" from Kasargod or from wherever they were missing.
