Bantwal: Absconding accused arrested after eight years

Bantwal, Jul 3: A man, who was absconding since eight years after committing a crime, was nabbed by rural police of the taluk.

Siddique, resident of Kotekar was not attending hearing at the court in connection with ganja smoking case that occurred eight years ago.

Police produced him in the court and he is sent to judicial custody. Bantwal rural police arrested Siddique in December 2015, while he was smoking Ganja in public place. Later he was released on bail.

However, he did not attend the court hearing after that. Police nabbed him at Talapady.
