Tree fall disrupts train traffic on Udupi-Barkur railway line

Udupi, Jul 4: Train services on the Udupi-Barkur railway line were disrupted after a tree fell on an electric pole, causing a halt in train traffic for the past two hours. The incident occurred following heavy rain in the area.

The Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapura Express, which operates between Delhi and Kerala, was among the trains that were affected by the fallen tree.

As a result of the incident, all train services in Udupi district were suspended at around 2 pm. However, the Railway Department promptly responded to the situation and initiated the process of clearing the fallen trees and restoring electricity.

The train traffic has now resumed and returned to normal.

The Railway Department's swift action ensured the safety and convenience of passengers as they worked diligently to address the issue and restore train services on the affected railway line.
