JD(S) & BJP to fight together in future, says Yediyurappa

Bengaluru, Jul 4 (IANS): Senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Yediyurappa has said that his party and Janata Dal (S) led by H.D. Kumaraswamy "will fight together in the future".

The senior leader while speaking to reporters here on Tuesday said, "Whatever Kumaraswamy was telling is absolutely true and I want to support his statement."

The former Chief Minister also said that the BJP would conduct a statewide agitation if the Congress government did not fulfill its promises.

He said that the BJP was not making any demands, but wanted the Congress government to fulfill the five promises they made to the people.

Yediyurappa said, "BJP will wait for one week for the Congress government to implement its five promises and if they don't , we will go across the state and conduct protests in all the districts against the government."

Kumaraswamy in a separate statement said that there was an Ajit Pawar in the making in Karnataka, and added that after Ajit Pawar's decision to support the BJP, he feared same in Karnataka.

The coming together of the BJP and JD(S) can lead to a major increase in the fortunes of the saffron party, especially in Old Mysore and Mandya areas.

Not surprising. If NCP in Maharashtra can join hands with BJP, why not JDS in Karnataka? And in past too BJP and JDS have played 20-20 which led to a draw. Hope this time they are going to play a successful test match.

HDK had withdrawn support to the BJP when it was time to hand over chief ministership to them. He had so many members from the minority communities on their list of candidates to harvest minority votes. Definitely looks like JDS is in kamikaze mode. The BJP have a committed voter base so  they may not be so badly affected.

Congress tried to fight Loksabha elections with JDS, but got no vote transfer from JDS and both got 1 seats only. The secular voters have ditched JDS in last state elections, now more will move away from it. BJP voters will never vote for JDS and both will be losers in the end.

BJP High Command wants their state units to come closer with the regional parties and do some seat adjustments in the next Lok Sabha election. It shows how much the central leadership is worried and desperate. JDS is a sinking submarine. Everyone knows including Kumaranna. Many Voters of JDS have already changed their loyalty to Congress. Merger/coordination of JDS with BJP, will move more voters from JDS to Congress. Congress will be at an advantage from this development. JDS will be satisfied if they get 2 or 3 seats for their children/spouses.(If not Loksabha seats, Rajya Sabha nomination). JDS is looking at their survival and grab whatever is available. The party should remove Secular word from their party and rename JD(S) to JD(C) People of Karnataka want a stable government and good governance. I do not think people will support HDK plan of destabilizing the government. People had enough in the past.

Dear Mr. Yeddurappa, it is now not your age to fight, you cant even run 50meters! Instead, live a life, and enjoy your fortune that you made whilst in governance, who knows what plans God has for you? Buy a Yatch, a luxurious Boat, a fancy Aircraft, a high end Bugatti car, a mansion in the south of France, and dress like the King of Karnataka. That's called living! Simply barking will not even keep you happy! You've have made your millions, enjoy them, what do you want more for? How does it affect any of you guys in the BJP if Congress is unable to fulfill its promises. Did BJP's loud mouth fulfill all his promises? Sab ke Saath, Sab ka Vikaas! Promises and Announcements are made to fool the flock, the poor and illiterate mass of rural India. There is no regulation or governance for loud mouths in India, they can bark to glory to suit their benefit, after all India is a Democracy!

First and foremost, beyond hijab, Hindu/Muslim and cow vigilantism, the BJP has no mandate. Just turning the youth of Karnataka into rabid uneducated goons, like UP. First, see if the BJP and JDS will fight together or fight each other......remember HDK is always at the forefront and with PM Modi, only he wins, else Nadda loses.
