Low-lying areas in Udupi inundated due to incessant rains

Udupi, Jul 6: Rains are continuing to lash the district on Thursday July 6 also.

Many houses are on the verge of submerging in low lying areas.

At Kodankoor in the city, many families are inside the houses that are surrounded by rain water. Fire service personnel rescued children and women in the family.

Rescue operations are in progress.

Rain water entered low lying areas of Udupi city. Kalsanka, Matadabettu, Bailakere and Bannanje are totally inundated. Fire service personnel, police department and district administration have begun the rescue operations here.

Parking space of Krishna Math is completely flooded with rain water. The SP visited Krishna Math area.
