Beltangady: Hotelier Diwakar Prabhu dies of brain haemorrhage

Beltangady, Jul 11: Well-known hotelier of Belthangady Diwakar Prabhu (59) died of brain haemorrhage at a private hospital in Ujire on Monday, July 10.

Diwakar was running Hotel Ganesh here near Moorumarga.

Diwakar had suffered brain haemorrhage on June 5 and was immediately rushed to a neuro hospital in Padil where he was admitted. He had slipped into coma due to the brain condition and was then shifted to a private hospital in Ujire where he was kept in an intensive care unit. Diwakar breathed his last on July 10.

Diwakar's paternal uncle had ventured into hotel business and had started the hotel more than 50 years back in 1965-66 which was continued by Diwakar subsequently.

Diwakar is survived by his mother, four sisters and two brothers.
