Mangaluru, Jul 12: Kannada movie ‘Damayana’ directed by Shreemukha stands out for its incredible performances of every character in the movie.
Damayana has introduced fresh faces right from its director and actor Shreemukha. The story is quite simple but very well executed on-screen.
The movie promises to be a pure family entertainer with a hilarious touch. People of Mangaluru can connect themselves with the story, dialect, scenic beauty and culture of coastal region. The effort and team work from Damayana is clearly visible on the screen for which they need to be applauded.
Damayana is the story of the character Damodar, played by the director Shreemukha. The young Damodar speaks in the Mangalurean accent of Kannada. Damodar who hails from Puttur, believes that he is a very talented person but all he can do is steal areca nuts from the house and perform to shoot TikTok videos. His father is a farmer and mother a housewife. Damodar’s only wish is to go to the city and become famous. His sense of dressing and behaviour has a unique style of his own.
The challenges Damodar faces in the city, his relationship with family, importance of friendship and a strong message is beautifully conveyed with a hilarious touch. Damayana is a complete content oriented film.
The movie with Keerthan Balila’s music is a treat to watch and goes hand-in-hand with the story. Cinematographer Siddu G S, editor Karthick K M, colourist Karthik Murali and VFX artiste Guru Raj have done an appreciable job. All the characters in the movie are played by fresh faces making it look more natural.
The movie is written and directed by Shreemukha and produced by Raghavendra Kudva under the banner Seventy 7 Studios.
Other than Shreemukha, Anagha, Adithya B K, Akshay Revankar, Dr Prathibha, Praneeth Ninasam, Venkatarama Bhat, Padmaprasad Jain, Praveen Velankar and others in the lead.
The premiere show of Damayana was successfully held at Big Cinemas on July 11 and director Shreemukha was overwhelmed with the response.
Damayana will be released on July 14.
