Sullia, Jul 14: A fist fight broke out between G Krishnappa and Nanda Kumar factions of the Congress party at a review meeting of Kadaba block of the party to discuss the defeat of its candidates in Sullia assembly constituency.

Congress leaders arrived on Friday to elicit views and opinions in the meeting.  Supporters of G Krishnappa objected to the arrival of the leaders who were expelled for anti-party activities. Police intervened when there were heated arguments between the factions besides the pushing and jostling around that happened between the two factions.

There were allegations that some from the Krishnappa faction had assaulted four people including a woman from the Nanda Kumar faction.

A video of the fight between the factions has gone viral. It is said that a leader from the Nanda Kumar faction was allegedly pushed and assaulted by the other group.
