Subramanian Swamy Invites Trouble for 'Islamic Terror' Article

New Delhi, Jul 29: Senior politician and outspoken Janata party president Subramanian Swamy could land in trouble for his controversial article 'How to Wipe Out Islamic Terror' in a daily, specially written after the recent Mumbai terror attack.

The article allegedly carries inflammatory remarks on minorties.

The National Commission for Minorities is seeking legal action against Subramanian Swamy and the publishers for violating Articles 153a, 153b and other sections of the Constitution.

National Commission for Minorities chairman Wajahat Habibullah said that his legal advisors will study the matter before deciding on filing a criminal case against Swamy.

But the author is not apologetic about the article and said that the article was written out of patriotism and thousands of readers liked it. I have been receiving lots of appreciation from all quarters, he said.

But another outspoken politician, Digvijay Singh of Congress declared that the article was in bad taste, and both the newspaper as well as the writer should be brought to book.
