How can kundapura people celebrating their culture weaken your voice? Will you accept you have "malayali roots" as the culture in Mangalore is similar to kerala's ?Or will you accept you have kundagannada roots as our culture is similar? No right? Because you don't speak Malayalam or kundagannada correct? We respect Tulu people but same way tulu people should understand this culture of kambala, daivas, nagabana, matrilineal inheritance is existing in kundapura since centuries and we speak kundapura kannada.Just because more Tulu speakers have this culture it doesn't become exclusively Tulu culture.Yes kundagannadigas and Tuluvas share similar culture but it doesn't mean we have "Tulu roots".We speak kannada and we love kannada nadu more .Thank you!

It seems that the state government's approach aims to weaken the influence of Tulunadu's voices. By establishing a specific day for a variant of Kannada, it raises the prospect of similar designations for Dharwad Kannada, Mysore Kannada, and others, which may lead to further fragmentation of the language. As Tuluvas, we view people from Kundapura as an integral part of Tulunadu due to their distinct Tuluva cultural roots. We also have an affinity for the Kundapura language and enjoy hearing it

Thanks for the respectful language used for replying .What about Tulu? Kannada is not the native language of Mangaluru ..If at all, there is only a certain sect within Mangalore which is trying to subvert and divert the attention that is required towards TULU.
