Bantwal: Two-wheeler rider succumbs after being hit by tipper

Bantwal, Jul 23: A tragic incident occurred on June 11, when a tipper truck collided with a two-wheeler, resulting in the demise of the rider in Vittal taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Janardhana Gowda (50), a resident of Mangalapadavu Nekkiladi.

On the fateful day, a tipper truck collided with Janardhana's Honda Activa, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru for medical attention.

Janardhana, an agriculturist who also worked as a daily wage laborer, was actively engaged in the committee against the 400 KV Udupi-Kasargod electricity line.

He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
