Mangalore: Former President of Ullal Town Mosque Haji Basheer Ahmed No More

Mangalore, Jul 31: Sixty-six-year-old Haji Basheer Ahmed, a retired income tax officer (ITO) and former president of Ullal town mosque, passed away here on Sunday July 31 due to cardiac arrest.

He had served as the former correspondent of Tippu Sultan College, Ullal and had also donated land for building a mosque at Ullalbottu.

He was a philanthropist and veteran member of the community. He is survived by his wife and two children.
