Mangaluru: Two arrested for attempt sell ganja worth Rs 1.67 lac

Mangaluru, Jul 27: The city north police station personnel arrested two people near old public toilet at north fishing port here on July 26 on the accusation of trying to sell ganja.

The arrested are identified as Abdul Rahim (43) and Mohammed Ashraf alias Ashraf alias Kariya (47), both residents of Kasba Bengre.

Acting on a definite tip-off that two people are attempting to sell ganja on a scooter, the police raided the spot and confiscated 3.38 kg of ganja in their possession the value of which is Rs 1.67 lac in the market, one digital weighing scale, Rs 4940 cash and a scooter valued at Rs 50000.

Sub inspector Vinayaka Toragal, assistant sub inspector Damodar, head constables Madan Satish, constables Sunil and Guru were involved in the operation.
