Mangaluru: Police file case against release of effluents from Kerala into water sources in Karnataka

Mangaluru, July 27: A police case has been registered at Vitla police station on the basis of a complaint received from the grama panchayat that effluents from Kerala brought by a tanker via private land at Kuddupadav, Kepu village are being released into the drain.

The effluents mixed waste water from Kerala is being brought with the help of  locals near the Karnataka border and are being released into the water sources in Karnataka.

 

Locals are bringing the vehicle inside their land for money and getting the effluents released into the water in the drain.

Kepu panchayat officers who came to know about it visited the spot and have taken the tanker into their custody before handing it over to the police.
