Mysuru, Jul 29: The KSRTC has raised the bus fares on its passenger buses running on contract basis. The fares are increased following the high demand of its daily buses due to the government’s Shakti scheme.
As per the new orders, the corporation has given up the arrangement of providing buses on hourly basis in Mysuru limits. The bus fares on seven categories of buses running on contract basis including Karnataka transport, Rajahamsa executive and Rajahamsa are revised. The new fares will come into effect from August 1. Old rates will continue for buses whose contracts were entered into before the new order.
The revised rates for KSRTC transport buses with seating capacity of 55, 57 and 49 will be a minimum of Rs 350 per day on all days of the week. The rates per kilometre will be Rs 47 inside the state and Rs 50 outside the state.
The rates for Rajahamsa executive with capacity of 36 seats will be a minimum of Rs 350 per day. The rates per kilometre will be Rs 48 inside the state and Rs 53 for interstate.
The rates for Rajahamsa with a capacity of 39 seats will be a minimum of Rs 350 per day. The rates per kilometre will be Rs 51 in the state and Rs 55 for interstate travel.
The rates for Mysuru state transport semi low floor with 42 seats will be a minimum of Rs 300 per day and Rs 45 per kilometre.
The rates for Midi bus with 30 seats will be a minimum of Rs 300 per day and Rs 40 per kilometre.
The rates for non AC sleeper with 32 seats will be a minimum of Rs 400 and Rs 55 per kilometre in the state.
