Bantwal, Jul 30: A distressing case has emerged in Vittal police station, wherein a minor innocent Dalit girl was subjected to repeated rape by several youths of Kerala origin, who allegedly claimed to be in love with her.

According to reports, the 16-year-old girl from Peruvayi village endured months of sexual assault at the hands of these individuals. On Saturday, the parents of the Dalit girl bravely lodged a complaint against the youths of Kerala origin at the Vittal police station.

In response, the police have taken immediate action, registering a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case against the accused offenders and initiating a thorough investigation.

    First :Dalit.. So no VHP involved unless there is political benefit. Second: Several Youth for Several months? Third: If immediately Kerala youth is mentioned, ot means early cover up. Finally a sixteen year old whether Dalit, Highcaste or low caste or any religion, is a minor and should not be taken advantage of. So whether youth are Kerala orgin or Karnataka orgin, it ahould not matter at all amd ahould not be mentioned about their origin, but mentioned as as criminals

    inter-state criminals are more problematic because they commit the crime in one state and escape back to their home state ... crime is committed in one state and the criminal is from another state ... this will mean more processes, lack of co-ordination / co-operation between police depts of two states, the kyc or identity / whereabouts of criminals harder to find ... overall a situation conducive to more undetectable crimes and less / delayed / no justice to victims ... Many criminals take advantage of this especially criminals from neighboring states ...

    some loose ends are missing....for months together? that too by several youths? and she is 16..anyway culprits have to be brought to book...now as this is dalit case only dalit organizations will fight..no vhp and bd for sure...as the perpetrators must be of higher caste...
