Bantwal, Aug 1: A man accidentally slipped and fell to death from the terrace of his house at Gadiyara in Mani in the taluk.
The deceased is identified as Kantappa Moolya (48), a resident of Banagundi near Gadiyara. He was an auto-rickshaw driver by profession.
Kantappa was getting a new house built. He had been to the terrace of the house to check the work done. He accidentally slipped from the terrace and got seriously injured. Though he was rushed to the hospital, the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
All the auto-rickshaw drivers of Gadiyara Park did not run their vehicles as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
The post-mortem of the mortal remains was performed at Bantwal government hospital.
