Karkala, Aug 1: The police have cracked the ganja peddling case under the limits of Karkala taluk and have arrested four accused in this connection.
The arrested are identified as Narendra Kaalol Gudde (40), Siraj near Majid in Pulkeri (21), Abdul Arif of Melinapalke and Jeevan (25) Banaalu, Bailooru.
Acting on a tip-off, Karkala police raided Kaarol Gudde of Miyar while the accused were waiting in the five cents stone etching to obtain cash and to sell ganja to consumers.
Police seized 182 grams of ganja and Rs 1,500 in cash and a motorbike from accused number one. The police seized 12 grams of ganja from accused number two and four and Rs 100 each in cash from both the accused.
The total value of seized ganja is put at Rs 10,500. The police seized about Rs 1800 in cash and seized a bike worth Rs 50,000.
