Mangaluru: Chief minister Siddaramaiah inspects sea erosion areas in Ullal

Mangaluru, Aug 1: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who arrived here to hold a progress review meeting of the district and the natural disasters visited the sea eroded area at Battapadi, Ullal on Tuesday evening. Later, he inspected the situation and held discussions with the locals.

Speaking to news persons later, he said that sea waves that hit the shores in Udupi, Karwar and Dakshina Kannada during the rainy season had caused huge losses. “There will be efforts to find a permanent solution for it,” he said.

State Assembly speaker U T Khader, minister of health, family welfare and district in charge minister Dinesh Gundurao, district in-charge secretary L K Atik, deputy commissioner Mullai Mugilan, several other officers, leaders and victims were present.
