Karkala: Moral policing - HJV workers waylay doctors, professors travelling by car

Karkala, Aug 2: Police have arrested five Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) workers who allegedly waylaid the car in which doctors and professors were travelling.

The arrested accused are Santhosh Nandalike, Karthik Poojary, Sunil Moolya Miyar, Sandeep Poojary Miyar and Suchith Safaliga.

The accused followed the car from Mala S K border in which four doctors and two professors from the same college were travelling. They waylaid the car of the doctors and professors at Kuntalpady, Karkala, hurled expletives at them and threatened them. The women in the car immediately informed the police.

Police said that the HJV workers followed and waylaid the car which was driven from Mangaluru to Sringeri and returning to Mangaluru by Kuntalpady road assuming that those in the car belonged to the other faith.

Karkala rural police visited the spot of the incident. The accused have been produced in the court.

It's all political gimmicks to score some political points and show that they are the protectors of majority sanskars and religion. In the evenings all of these get their daily vitamins at the water holes and the directives to derive the strategy for the next day. This is the biggest achievement of the nine years of Sanskari governance.
