IMD issues warning over heavy rains in Udupi on Aug 3, 4

Udupi, Aug 3: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning that winds of 30 to 40 km per hour are going to lash many places of the district on August 3 and 4.

Accordingly, deputy commissioner (DC) K Vidya Kumari has cautioned people to be careful.

In a publication, the DC said, “Public getting into sea, river banks, ponds and rivulets is strictly prohibited.

“Also people are advised not to stand beneath dilapidated buildings, trees and poles and be cautious,” stated the publication taken out by the DC.
