Mangaluru: Man arrested for insulting Hindu God on Instagram

Mangaluru, Aug 3: The CEN police station personnel have apprehended Mohammed Salman (22), a resident of Masidi Hill Road, Bikarnakatte, Kulshekar, Mangaluru, for his offensive writing and comments against a Hindu God on Instagram.

He is facing charges under crime registration No. 163/2023, sections 67, 153(a), and 505(2) of the Indian Penal Code, as registered at the Sen police station. Subsequently, he was produced before the 7th JMFC court.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Mangaluru Sen crime police inspector Sathish M P, with the assistance of the officers and staff of the Sen police station, all working under the guidance of Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar R Jain.
