Udupi college washroom video case: Victim appears in court, gives statement

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Aug 4: The victim of the college washroom video case in the city appeared at the Udupi district court on Thursday and gave her statement.

On July 18, when the victim had gone to the washroom, three Muslim girl students had video-graphed her, which later led to a state-level controversy.

The victim girl deposed in front of the court in detail. The court recorded her statement. However, she has not agreed to raise any complaint on the matter. Police have registered a suo moto case.

All the three accused have already secured anticipatory bail in order to avoid arrest.

BJP and their stooges want to direct peoples attention from Manipur. School has given punishment to culprits and victim has given a statement that she does not want any action to be taken then why these trouble makers are disturbing the peace in our area?.

There is no more substance in this case; still pursuing it by force and deviance is just to divert the attention of people wearing "horse blinders"!!

as the victim has deposed in the court, now law should take its own course ... this is serious violation of privacy and tampering with the modesty of a woman. whether there is a communal angle to this has to be probed... the videographed content might be edited in such a way that only girls of one community are depicted and other girls toilet scene is cut out ... this might be circulated in internet porn for money or in social media for fun and humiliation ... the allegation done by Rashmi Samant about the brother of one of the accused female rogues should be investigated. If that is false, Rashmi Samant should be hauled up ...

Read again what the victim has deposed in person in the court; and what more grounds are remaining to pursue in this, now, defunct case?

Two possibilities. 1. Offense has happened, vedio went viral in social media. Irrespective of victim says not to persue the case. The case must be probed, without involving victim. Both those who taped and those circulated, must be bought to justice, with no bias. 2. The offense did not happen, some anti-social elements targeted both the victim and the accused, to fix them. They circulated fake vedio's. There is no third possibility. For the 1st possibility to be real, despite BJP claiming it is viral vedio, but none seeming to have it, even social media platforms. This is unbelivable and impossible. For the sake of truth and justice, anybody having the vedio should come forward and hand it over to police or any legal agency, that they trust. Otherwise it is clear, BJP is playing with the lives of the girls for its dirty politics. It is criminal, not just shameful.

as far as girls are raped and murdered by the same community the right wing organizations are not bothered.....issue crops up only when minorities do it...in fact the culprits of rape are protected by the right wings as in the case of saujanya and padmalatha...no guts to speak

Facts are sacred and comments are free... Much ado about nothing and waste of court time which could be well used o resolve genuinely pending cases... What actually transpired was a comedy of errors which all of us know... They wanted to film someone else and someone else got filmed... This is not a good game to play but adolescent age makes persons commit blunders while they think it to be a joking matter... As there is no credible agenda to keep busy, bajapa will drag this subject furthermore until it looses all flavor...

this is not aimed at one victim... you cannot instruct the camera to act only on a specified person ... this was a larger plot to collect nude photos of girls... some one has to file a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) on this ...

funniest part of this issue....The court recorded her statement. However, she has not agreed to raise any complaint on the matter.....this clearly shows that the matter was closed with mutual understanding by the colllege authorities...only chaddi gulams want to keep it alive...but they are not bothered about soujanya who was murdered in a merciless manner....ella natakada olaga nataka..
