Bengaluru, Aug 4: In a strong rebuttal of JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy’s charges of alleged commission in government transfers, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday dismissed the allegations as nothing but ‘’hit and run case.’’

Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru, he said the JD(S) leader has the habit of making baseless allegations and never proves them.

Siddaramaiah said the JD(S) leader had alleged that there was ‘’YST’’ commission in police inspectors’ transfers.

“His (Kumaraswamy’s) aim is to merely malign me by levelling allegations against my son Yathindra,’’ the Chief Minister said and the JD(S) leader brandished a pen-drive,

“Did he prove the charge? He could not prove the charge because he did not have a pen-drive to substantiate the charge,’’ Siddaramaiah claimed.

The Chief Minister said he had discussed with Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goel to ensure that Food Corporation of India (FCI) must be directed to sell rice to Karnataka’s Anna Bhagya scheme but he effused.

“The Narendra Modi regime is playing politics in the matter of rice supply to poor. This shows the BJP’s anti-poor mindset,’’ he added.
