Mangalore to Kundapur there is always huge traffic on the roads -- Certainly can de-congest by having good quality -- CLEAN passenger trains -- To and fro -- with suitable stops ----- ( All are focused on costly metros rail -- but can concentrate on local trains --connecting towns -- most have tracks already even for other towns likewise --)--- Political leaders regardless of party affiliations have to ask for this -- on priority -- --MANY ACCIDENTS CAN BE AVOIDED ---

While welcoming inclusion of Mangalure, Udupi railway station upgrade is long overdue. That is an important stop for many nearby places not to mention, Udupi and Manipal are known for temple and educational institutions. Above all, Udupi has been electing BJP candidates and the local leadership should have made a case for inclusion of Udupi in the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana.
