Mangaluru, Aug 7: Ullal police arrested Mohammed Sharif alias Faizal, a resident of Shantibagh on the accusation of selling MDMA drug publicly at the crematorium ground of Bagambila at Kumpala.
Acting on definite information, the accused, an auto-rickshaw driver, was apprehended by Ullal police station inspector Sandeep, ASI Santhosh Kumar and personnel Ranjit, Ashok and Manjunath.
Police confiscated 12 gram MDMA, two mobile phones and an auto-rickshaw in which the drugs were being sold. The total value of the confiscated goods is Rs 95,000.
The accused is said to have driven his auto-rickshaw at high speed in Ullal area and had many accidents missed by a whisker.
