Udupi, Aug 8: A team of CID police arrived in the city on Tuesday August 8 as the investigation of paramedical college washroom video controversy is handed over to them.

The team visited the office of superintendent of police (SP) led by CID DySP Anjumala Nayak.

Its fair to do the investigation about the issue, but rather than this, there are many gang rapes has occurred and we do not see any CID team over there, here whatever the students what they have doe is true than they have to get punished, irrespective of their religion. now the issue is being escalated to higher authority just because the girls belongs to a particular community, however the CID team will do their job. also please note that, Udupi police will have more information and they can handle this case, but we do not see any reason for handing the case to CID is it so important.

What a waste of Public Tax Payers' money, what a waste of Govt bodies. They could have been doing something better rather than this silly incident. So, is it clear that our Priorities are misplaced? Since CID Team is in Udupi already, let them investigate the Pakshikere Bathroom issue as well? Why is that incident put under the carpet? Because the accused belongs to a certain party- clearly hidden agenda and religious biased politics. Dear Politicians - irrespective of any parties, please stop doing this non-sense to divert people's attention from other burning issues. Concentrate on development work, rather than these issues. You are wasting our tax paid money & our machinery for your vested interests.

This episode has seen only one thing in clear... Local bajapa MLA has no real intention to carry out his assigned tasks and is wasting time on a non issue... Clearly partisan and communal angle of functioning is not right at all... Now that CID are probing the incident much noise may abate and give way for reason to prevail... Fact of the matter is known to all... It was an adolescent mischief aimed at someone else and instead of becoming comedy of errors this was fully manipulated for the waste of time of so many people...

It was an act aimed at somebody with mischievous (or criminal) intention, fortunately went awry. Imagine what would have or could have happened if went undetected.

When the prank issue has been settled in all respects even involving the police heads; the ultimate being the victim giving an open statement in the court that she doesn't intend to pursue it further then what's the issue now WITH DUMBOS NOT CONNECTED WITH THE CASE; is it to keep the flames burning to divert attention of the so called intelligent public from other issues??

You are talking like Mulayam Singh. If it happens to your friends or relatives , would you keep quite. ?? Victim doesn’t want to pursue means she does’t want more humiliation. More inquiries more humiliation. Do you understand that?

Hello St. Antony; talk practically and wrt to the particular incident! Irrespective of whatever you assume and presume, technically the case is over and out; then why dig it again? Please don't get personal by asking hypothetical questions! I hope better sense will prevail over anger and ego!!

Prank issue has been settled thru threats, not amicably. Family of one among the accused is quite influential. Unfortunately in our country people with muscle and money power had always been having an upper hand.
