Mangaluru: Nursing student arrested for conning people as police officer

Mangaluru, Aug 20: An incident has unfolded at Urva Police station where a nursing student from Kerala was apprehended for attempting to deceive others by impersonating a police officer.

The arrested individual is identified as Benedict Sabu (25).

During the operation, authorities seized 380 ID cards that falsely portrayed the bearer as a Kerala 'RAW' officer and an Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department staff. Additionally, a set of PSI uniform, police shoes, logo, medal, belt, cap, 1 laptop, and 2 mobile phone sets were confiscated from the accused.

After being presented in court, the accused has been remanded into judicial custody.

The Urva police conducted this operation under the guidance of city police commissioner Kuldeep Jain, direction of DCPs Anshu Kumar and Dinesh Kumar, and led by Mangaluru Central Sub-Division ACP Mahesh Kumar.

    These kerala youths are swallowing all jobs and as students in college our Mangalorean youths are moving around and looking for jobs and any other training centres.With money one can buy by us almost everything .degrees ,doctor titles or MA before BA So must have this youth came only for names sake as student in Nursing,but his intention was quite different.Love to nursing has someone else.Quick money was his intention.No wonder so many articles were found by him posing as officer.Our people believe everthing.Arrest him put him in jail,Nursing can continue later or in jail.Dirty fellow .Bringing bad name to Nursing.

    Problem is their psychology, i.e. the way they have been brought up in their home state. Right from birth they are brainwashed into believing that Keralites are the most educated people on earth, they are very intelligent, others are illiterate, fools, lazy, timid and so on. As a result they become disrespectful, uncaring and develop a bindas type of attitude once they leave their state.
