Bantwal, Aug 24: Just a week after the elections for the positions of president and vice president in Rai Gram Panchayat, internal differences within the BJP have erupted into public view.
Pushpavati Poojary, a BJP-supported member of Koila First Ward, tendered her resignation on Thursday, August 24. Poojary, who represented booth No 27 in Koila First Ward, cited unnecessary interference from the gram panchayat president and party leaders as the reason for her decision.
Expressing her dissatisfaction, Poojary said, "Developmental projects such as road repairs in my ward are being undertaken without my knowledge using government funds, which is demeaning to me. Therefore, I am stepping down from my post and leaving the party."
She submitted her resignation to the gram panchayat president, PDO, MLA, and the taluk panchayat executive officer. News of her resignation quickly gained traction on social media platforms.
