Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Aug 26: Responding on the matter of state BJP leaders not allowed to approach PM Modi during his visit to ISRO on the morning of Saturday in Bengaluru, Congress leader Jagadish Shettar said, “I will not comment more on the inside matters of the BJP. A national party has failed to elect an opposition leader. The condition of BJP is worst in the country as well as in the state.

“It is really pathetic that PM did not meet the state BJP leaders when he came for visit of ISRO. Leaders like me have been put out from the party,” he said.

Replying to query on call from Amit Shah, Shettar said, “No one has called me till now. Karnataka BJP is leaderless. So far, they are unable to replace the state party president also. The BJP party leaders are meeting Congress leaders in various places. The BJP will go into coma in Karnataka. Many inside the BJP are suffering and trying to come out of the party.

“I have not received any call from the BJP high command. If at all I get, I will inform the same to the media. The Congress is going to register resounding victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. It is sure that the party will win 12 to 15 seats. In the present situation, it will not be a surprise if Congress wins more than 15 seats also. People of all taluks of Karnataka are on their toes to join the Congress,” he said.
