Bantwal: Akshara Pratistan Organizes ‘Aatidonji Koota’ at Rayee School

Bantwal, Aug 10:
‘Aatidonji Koota’ was held under the aegis of Akshara Pratistan, Aladapadav at Rayee Higher Primary School, on Sunday August 7. It was organized by Rayee School Alumni Association, Rayee, Koila and Arala Pragatibandu self-help-groups federation under Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP).
 
SKDRDP taluk project officer Dayavati S inaugurated the programme.
 
Rayee gram panchayat president Harish Acharya presided over the programme.

 


TP member Vasant Kumar Annalike, Vittal Teachers’ Co-operative Society president Ramesh Nayak Rayee, taluk Janjagruti Vedike member Jagdish Alva Aggonde, entrepreneur M Devappa Shetty Mavantoor, and retired head master M Goal Bhat were the guests present on the occasion.
 
Veteran folklore artistes Koragappa Poojary Koila (social service), Dasappa Parava Rayee (Bhootaradhane), Taniya Nalike Arala (traditional veterinarian), and Yashmita Laxmi Kodi, were felicitated during the programme.
 
Pratistan president Dr Ramakrishna S, convener Gopal Anchan, Prashant Kotian, Chandrashekar Acharya, Alumni Association president Prashant Holla, school betterment committee president Sadashiv Poojary, head master Jayaram Padre, Federation president Chandrashekar Poojary, Padmanabha Poojary, and Harinakshi were present on the dais.
 
Ganesh welcomed the gathering.  Dinesh Amin delivered the introductory address while Raghavendra Bhat proposed the vote of thanks. Pratistan director Ratnadev Punjalkatte compered the programme.
 
Competitions in Tulunadu folk arts were held on the occasion followed by sumptuous food for everyone.
